“When we examine the iPhone users' arguments defending the iPhone, it reminds us of the famous Stockholm Syndrome–a term invented by psychologists after a hostage drama in Stockholm. Here, hostages reacted to the psychological pressure they were experiencing by defending the people that had held them hostage for six days,” Strand declared.

The implication is surely that Apple has mugged millions of people with its beauty, dragged them off to a very dark cellar in some barren land, turned them into slightly bonkers Barbarellas, and then recruited them as soldiers for the cause.

“Storm8, a maker of some top iPhone games, allegedly stole users’ mobile phone numbers, according to a lawsuit filed on November 4. The suit claims that best-selling games made by Storm8 contained secret code that bypassed safeguards built into the iPhone to prevent the unauthorized snooping of user information. There have been other reports of applications copying personally identifiable customer information in the past. The complaint seeks class-action status.”

Apple claims that hundreds of thousands of iPhones are being used by corporations and government agencies. What it won’t tell you is that the supposedly enterprise-friendly encryption included with the iPhone 3GS is so weak it can be cracked in two minutes with a few pieces of readily available freeware.

Report: iPhone Leak Interrogations Drive Foxconn Employee to Suicide – Foxconn – Gizmodo

The security team for Foxconn, the company that manufactures the iPhone for Apple, is said to have subjected employee Sun Danyong to “unbearable interrogation techniques,” leading him to commit suicide. He was under investigation for losing a prototype device.
